Of knights, pirates, birthdays and the Mystery of Life

You didn´t know that we have our own family knight in shining armour, did you? The other one is Reuben that can´t decide between being a president or being a pirate.

We celebrated Ondina´s birthday in our basement and here´s a picture of our group in Moià (German´s mother, who is not a believer, is with us too.)

While the adults talk, the kids play UNO or run around the house like a bunch of indians.

And on Saturday we set out to start fixing up around our house. We bought some black plastic and covered the ground around the pine trees. Then we piled sand on the plastic and dug holes in various places to plant lavender plants (they really smell nice and attract lots of butterflies).

Stephen just loves inventing things with a scissors, paper, glue and colors. I was actually amazed at this one! Look at how he made this 3-D glass filled with grape juice without any guide or help.

Dear All,

We would just like to write a little note as we just got back from the viewing of "Unlocking the Mystery of Life". About 40 showed up (others were at a concert at the same time) and listened very carefully to what I said about Darwin´s theory (about 20 minutes) and then they clapped a lot after the 65 minute film was done.

Afterwards, when all was said and done, a lady came right up to me and said, "You know, I have a problem. I wish I could find the Designer." We talked for a while and I was able to share the Gospel with her, and she said that she would talk to me another day since she would be at the Center while I teach English class. Then we had a talk with a group of ladies, too. Some of them are Kevin´s English students. Pray for these dear people, that they will have a hunger for the truth and that they will search for it in the Bible and in Christ.

For the Christ of Calvary,

February prayers

Special Prayer Requests & Praise
  1. Three missionary families are joining up to venture into a Christian camping ministry. We have to get legal certifications for kitchen volunteers, counselors and directors. Thank the Lord with us that the $2250 cost for these certifications has been covered by a Christian foundation!
  2. Praise the Lord for the many conversations that we have with an always greater number of people. Pray for Agustí, Nuria, Neus, Joan and Josep.
  3. Praise the Lord that our Thursday Good News Club is growing number. Isabella has been allowed to come back. A mother wants her little 4-year-old to come.
  4. We are thankful for the meetingplace that the Lord has given us.
  5. Pray that the Lord will strengthen the hearts of the families that attend the services on Sunday mornings. That we will together grow in maturity and servant hearts.

Just a thought

"How Thou canst think so well of us,
And be the God Thou art,
Is darkness to my intellect,
But sunshine to my heart."

"The Christian is a man who always lives a double life. Paul's friends were people who lived in Ephesus and in Christ. Every Christian has a human address and a divine address; and that is precisely the secret of the Christian life. Alister MacLean tells of a lady in the West Highlands who lived a hard life, yet one of perpetual serenity. When asked the secret of it, she answered: "My secret is to sail the seas, and always to keep my heart in port." Wherever the Christian is, he is still in Christ." (Daily Bible Study, Ephesians)

A new place to meet

It´s funny how feelings change when one moves from one place to another. In our case, we´re moving from the livingroom of an apartment to a large, open area with just a small group... But we´re thankful and grateful for having that place to meet. We even have a locker where we can keep our hymnals.
